Information Technology

The primary task of the HIH IT Core Facility is to provide a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to all employees of the institute, so that their scientific work is optimally supported. Services include providing direct support in case of usage problems and supporting the scientists and other members of the institute in solving more specialized IT problems.

We accompany the scientific work from experiment and network design, soft- and hardware development, data acquisition and storage via data analysis and simulation to publication and finally archiving. We always try to find new solutions to challenging information-processing related problems in order to create a cost effective IT environment that enables the HIH employees to work efficiently, to handle their data in a safe way and to easily be connected to where it is necessary.

The HIH IT Core Facility offers to the institute's employees a comprehensive range of services. We also constantly check external offers, e.g. those of the IT facilities of the clinic and university, whether they can be reasonably used at the HIH.
