The HIH warmly congratulates Prof. Martin Giese to the successful next step on the way to the Excellence Initiative 2026. The successful concept “Bionic Intelligence for Health” will be coordinated by Prof. Giese together with Prof. Syn Schmitt and Prof. Sabine Ludwigs from the University of Stuttgart. We also congratulate Prof. Birgit Derntl from the Department for Psychiatry and Psychotherap on the successful “The Fe/Male Brain” concept. Both concepts integrate numerous researchers from the HIH.
