Visit of the new board of directors of the Hertie Foundation

The new board of directors of the Hertie Foundation (GHS) accepted the invitation to Tübingen and visited the Hertie Center for Neurology and the new Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health (Hertie AI) on July 8, 2024.

Together with the management of the GHS and other project employees, the delegation was offered a varied program.

After the welcome by the chairwoman of the Hertie Foundation, Annette Schavan, former Federal Minister, Prof. Thomas Gasser, Chairman of the Board of the HIH, gave an overview of the Hertie Center for Neurology.

Prof. Philipp Berens, founding director of the Hertie AI, introduced the new institute and the newly appointed Professor Kerstin Ritter.

The guests then received an exciting insight into research at the HIH and toured their laboratories at the HIH with Dr. Nicolas Snaidero and Dr. Ulrike-Hedrich-Klimosch, before Prof. Martin Giese and Dr. Winfried Ilg presented the "movement laboratory" in the CRONA clinic.

A visit to CyberValley and the construction site for the Hertie AI rounded off the program.
